Liberal Vannin has three members taking part in this year’s local authority elections. Two of whom were elected unopposed when nominations closed on Wednesday, March 26th. The third will be subject to the election in Ramsey North Ward which takes place on Thursday, April 24th.
They are:
Gary Chambers, Port Erin Commissioners, elected unopposed.
Pauline Johns-Garrett, Ramsey Town Commissioners (North Ward) who will contest the election on April 24th.
Paul Weatherall, Chair, Liberal Vannin, Ballaugh Parish Commissioners, elected unopposed.
Their individual manifestos can be found below:
All three will endeavour to promote open and transparent decision making within their local authorities and value for money in providing local services for their rate payers.
Liberal Vannin urges people who agree with our aims and values to join us and consider standing for the various local authority by-elections that will be held in those areas where insufficient candidates were nominated for the vacant seats and to support Pauline Johns-Garrett in her election in Ramsey North. Local authorities provide vital community services and determine the rates you pay on your homes.
We are also recruiting candidates to stand in the coming general election for the House of Keys in September, 2026. Together, we can make a difference in changing the future direction of the Island and how we are governed.
